The Iconic Milton H. Greene

 Photography can be used to capture powerful images that can ignite emotion in an audience. Milton H. Greene is a photographer who was able to do this, using his great timing to capture the perfect photo. He is known for taking photos revolving around fashion, film, music, and art but he used his talent the best when capturing photos of celebrities. He made his subject feel beautiful and sexy which is important when it comes to capturing the perfect photo.
  Born on March 14, 1922 in New York, Milton grew up to eventually love photography, starting to take photos at 14 years old. His admiration for the art form led him to become an intern for famous photographers such as Elliot Elisofan and Louise Dahl- Wolfe. These experiences opened the doors for him to start to work for well-known magazine issues such as Life, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue.
  Milton's most prominent and career making move was working with the famous actress and model Marilyn Monroe. The two formed a strong friendship that lasted a long time. Marilyn trusted Milton so much, she wanted him to help provide the photos for her autobiography. They had 52 sessions consisting of 5,800 photos including the famous Black Sitting. 
 Milton went on to win many awards for his incredible work in photography. This includes winning Art Director's Club Awards in several cities in the United States and the American Institute of Graphic Arts award. His work was also displayed in prominent locations such as the International Center of Photography in New York and the Chicago Art Institute. Milton formed a great legacy through his ability to capture captivating photos that caught the eye of the public. He will go down as one of the greatest celebrity and fashion photographers.
 Due to his use of interesting subjects such as Marilyn Monroe and his risquee photos, I decided to pick this photographer.
